A tropical, dairy-free treat that’s sweet, creamy, and perfect for hot days. This mango sorbet is quick to prep, easy to customize, and wonderfully refreshing!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced ripe mango (fresh is best, but thawed frozen mango works too)
  • ½ cup coconut milk (carton for lighter texture, canned for creamier results)

Optional Swaps:

  • Replace coconut milk with almond milk, oat milk, or orange juice for different flavors.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base

  1. Add diced mango to the Ninja Creami pint container.
  2. Press the mango down firmly using a ladle or measuring cup to compact it.
  3. Pour coconut milk over the mango until the fruit is just covered. Flatten the top with the back of a spoon.

Step 2: Freeze

  1. Place the pint container in the freezer on a flat surface.
  2. Freeze for at least 24 hours, leaving the lid off to avoid uneven peaks.

Step 3: Spin the Sorbet

  1. After freezing, insert the pint into the Ninja Creami machine.
  2. Lock it in and select the “Sorbet” function. The mixture may look crumbly after the first spin—this is normal.

Step 4: Re-Spin for Creaminess

  1. Add 1-2 tablespoons of coconut milk to the crumbly mixture.
  2. Re-spin the sorbet using the “Re-spin” function. The texture should transform into a creamy sorbet.
  3. Optional: Stir in mix-ins like shredded coconut or crushed nuts for added flavor and texture.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

Scoop into bowls or glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lime zest, or toasted coconut flakes.
  • For a fancy twist, serve in chilled dessert glasses with edible flowers.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Mango Matters: Use ripe mangoes (like Ataulfo or Pakistani varieties) for the best flavor.
  • Noise Alert: The Ninja Creami is as loud as a blender—keep this in mind if others are sleeping.
  • Re-spin Magic: Don’t skip the second spin for a creamy texture!

Storage & Reheating:

  • Leftovers: Smooth out the sorbet in the pint container before refreezing. Re-spin before serving for a fresh, creamy texture.
  • Quick Serve: If frozen solid, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes or microwave for 5-10 seconds before scooping.

This recipe is simple, versatile, and perfect for customizing with your favorite flavors. Give it a try and bring a little tropical sunshine to your day!
